Yay and welcome! First of all, thank EVERYONE for joining the comm! We've been tickled pink by the turnout, and we hope that everyone will have an awesome time writing and reading!

In the interest of tiding us over until the bingo cards are given out on the 1st, why don't we have a good, old-fashioned introduction post! Feel free to mix and mingle, introduce yourself and your writing, talk about the weather, ask questions, or anything else that comes to mind! :D

Spacecats! Alien hermaphroditic spacecats! Alien hermaphroditic spacecats who have decided that space is shiny and traveling is shiny and asteroid mining--well, though not exactly SHINY, at least pays the bills. Piracy = also shiny, and sometimes better than mining.

My cowriter and I have a double-handful of stories and settings and such covering about a thousand years. Mostly focussing around the spacecats' semi-tradition of having a human on all their ships (said human usually scooped up because they are down and out somewhere and need a ride, and because someone on the 'cat ship is going to have kittens, and humans, the cats have decided, make EXCELLENT babysitters for spacecat kittens, and anyone who will keep tiny, furred, clawed, highly mobile, and incredibly DUMB balls of fur out of the maintenance shafts, wiring, and/or hyperdrive totally deserves a discount on passage....) ;P

:D Yeah, the spacecats turn out a surprising amount of fluff, for a race that generally is treated with very guarded respect (kind of how you SHOULD treat a race that can turn into five-foot whirlwinds of fanged and clawed mayhem when provoked...and who have a dim race memory of HUNTING something upright and apelike back on their homeworld. :D)
