Yay and welcome! First of all, thank EVERYONE for joining the comm! We've been tickled pink by the turnout, and we hope that everyone will have an awesome time writing and reading!

In the interest of tiding us over until the bingo cards are given out on the 1st, why don't we have a good, old-fashioned introduction post! Feel free to mix and mingle, introduce yourself and your writing, talk about the weather, ask questions, or anything else that comes to mind! :D

i actually signed up over on lj but everyone seems to be here, so i am here. :D

my name is cindy and when i manage to write anything, it's fairly short and contemporary, altho i also have a random post-apocalyptic 'verse for variety. i used to write a lot of fantasy and for a while i wrote vampires, and now i want to write historicals except for, you know, the history. research makes me nuts so i mostly stick with stuff i don't have to research a lot for, or i make everything up. :D

i kind of want to start over on everything - just wipe all the 'verses clean and start from scratch with new ones - so i have no idea what i'm going to end up writing for any of my potential bingo squares. it's a safe bet that there will be way more in my head than what ends up on screen.

the weather here seems to be kind of a mix of early summer and early fall. it's not raining and not 90º, so i'm ok with it. (hey, aster suggested we talk about the weather.... :D )

Hi hi! Glad to see you over here! Yeah, since I don't post on LJ anymore, I guess our advertising over there was pretty much depending on word of mouth from the few LJers who still followed me. I keep thinking that I should go post to a few writing comms over there, but to be honest am a bit intimidated (I'm kind of afraid we'll get five bajillion folks, and I kind of like the idea of this being a smaller challenge, at least until I get the hang of it!) >_>

on friday when i do the status post for findyourwords (pretend that's a link to an lj comm :D ) i'll pimp the lj and dw original bingos. i don't think that will net you a ton of new people, but it should bring in some.

Thanks! I appreciate it! :D I keep thinking of looking for some of the origfic comms on LJ and posting to there, which I might do still.

My breakup with LJ has come back to make things awkward, really. On the one hand, I want folks to be able to play with a minimum of hassle! On the other...I'm not really comfortable posting about this, say, on MY old LJ. Maybe it's an odd line to draw, that I'd do an LJ comm but not reopen my LJ journal, but...oh well...I never said I made sense! :P
