This is for my 9-29-14 card.
Row 1: (five poems) enlightenment, building (verb), youth, cause and effect, memories
Fandoms: Polychrome Heroics, Schrodinger's Heroes, stand-alone, One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis
Several of the following poems belong to Polychrome Heroics, a superhero setting with a variety of focal characters. The primary one is a plural person collectively called Damask, with different powers depending on who's in control at the time. Themes include diversity of sexuality, gender, ethnicity, and ableness; intrapersonal, interpersonal, and social dynamics; and different types of heroism.
Title: "Bending Forks"
Series: Polychrome Heroics
Prompt: Enlightenment
Rating: PG
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Discrimination, emotional disorientation.
Notes: It's disconcerting to realize that something you believed isn't necessarily so.
The following poem belongs to my series Schrodinger's Heroes. This is science fiction about quantum physics and saving the world from hostile dimensions. It features a large cast of characters diverse in ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other features.
Title: "Believing What You Know Ain't So"
Series: Schrodinger's Heroes (Don't Try This at Home storyline)
Prompt: Building (verb)
Rating: PG
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Boys are still working through the aftermath of racism and extreme bullying; cognitive dissonance occurs.
Notes: Eric and TeJay learn a lot about each other working summer jobs at the Teflon Tesseract.
Title: "Water Colors"
Series: Polychrome Heroics
Prompt: Youth
Rating: PG
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Kids are dealing with some challenges from turning different colors temporarily, but most of them are coping just fine.
Notes: Aquariana gets a really unusual fan letter.
Title: "The Mad Science of Modern Times"
Series: stand-alone
Prompt: Cause and effect
Rating: PG
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Criticism of sincerely held but troubling beliefs.
Notes: Creationism and climate change denial are causing problems.
The following poem belongs to my series One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis. Shaeth abdicates his position as God of Evil and becomes the God of Drunks. This series is fantasy dealing with themes of morality, personal growth, addiction and recovery, family of choice, and slightly warped humor.
Title: "A Demon There"
Series: One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis
Prompt: Memories
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: No standard warnings apply. Struggling with addiction.
Notes: Trobby tries to moderate his drinking.
