The next poem belongs to my project The Blueshift Troupers. This is science fiction about a team of shapeshifters and their living ship who travel the galaxy solving problems. Themes include teamwork, family of choice, organic and inorganic technology, conflict resolution, racial tension, and sense of wonder.

A couple of the poems below are from my series Path of the Paladins.  It features a world-weary paladin and her young novice as they try to repair a damaged land.  Themes include trauma and recovery, spirituality, faith, courage, women fighters in reasonable armor, nonsexual love, family ties, and hope.

The primary one is a plural person collectively called Damask, with different powers depending on who's in control at the time. Themes include diversity of sexuality, gender, ethnicity, and ableness; intrapersonal, interpersonal, and social dynamics; and different types of heroism.
