This is for my 1-31-14 card. It's not even half full yet, so I don't need a new card immediately. This also fits the Bingo Valentines fest over on
allbingo.
I column prompts (five poems): prosperity, telling a story, public display of affection, love letters, childhood romance
Fandoms: The Blueshift Troupers, Walking the Beat, stand-alone, Monster House
The next two poems belong to my project The Blueshift Troupers. This is science fiction about a team of shapeshifters and their living ship who travel the galaxy solving problems. Themes include teamwork, family of choice, organic and inorganic technology, conflict resolution, racial tension, and sense of wonder.
Title: "You Should Go"
Series: The Blueshift Troupers
Prompt: Prosperity
Rating: PG
Warnings: Family tension. Searching for one's purpose.
Notes: Zasha makes a personal discovery that causes him to question what he's doing with his life. Love begins at home, but it can stretch across a galaxy.
Title: "The Book of Avory"
Series: The Blueshift Troupers
Prompt: Telling a story
Rating: PG
Warnings: Graphic description of an accident. Life upheaval.
Notes: A fall down the stairs tumbles Avory into a whole new life. Love can be about more than a person and a relationship.
The following poem belongs to my series Walking the Beat. Dale and Kelly are a lesbian couple living in Jamaica Plain. Dale is a recently retired policevet who walks with a limp; Kelly is Deaf. Together they work on adjusting to their new life and try to improve their community. Themes include gender, sexual orientation, community, disability, and adaptation.

Notes: Dale and Kelly celebrate Valentine's Day together.
Title: "Let Me Count the Days"
