OMG it's a sign up post! What's this doing here?!

Well, ahouseforrain had a wonderful point! It would make it easier on the mods--and get you guys your cards faster--if signups had mostly already occurred BEFORE the start date. That way, with everyone chomping at the bit and all our ducks in a row, we can just go down the comments list and give you your cards in one epic baccanalia of card-flinging madness on October 1!

So yeah, sign up by commenting here! You don't need to put anything in your comment but what kind of card you are requesting. We have three flavors!

• Gen card - pulls from the gen prompt list (general prompts not aimed at romance or kink)
  
• Gen + Romance card - pulls from the gen prompt list plus a romance-themed prompt list
  
• Gen + Romance + Kink card - pulls from the gen, romance, AND kink lists

Prompt lists are here, should you want to scope them out beforehand. Please note that the bingo cards are going to be randomly pulled from the three lists: so, for instance, asking for a gen+romance+kink card only gives the possibility of a kinky card, not a guarantee.

Your cards will magically appear on (or maybe slightly before! :O) October 1 as replies to your comment. So, if you don't have comment notifications turned on, you might want to check back around then to get your card!

AND, once you are done signing up, please stop by the first of our Chatter Posts! (We won't go crazy with these, we promise.) Introduce yourself and what you like to write, ask questions, chat about how excited you are, or whatever else is on your mind!

When you say "kiss (first)" - is that someone's first kiss ever or the first kiss between partners or is it left up to interpretation?

Your card should still be showing where it was posted as a comment to your original card request (this thread). We haven't (shouldn't have!) broken any of the image links, so it should still be visible. It appears to still be there for me. Is the image link broken for you? Or am I not understanding what you meant? ^_^;;

Can I sign up in expectation of not receiving a card until November, or do I have to sign up in the first week of November? I was thinking of aiming for a blackout as my NaNoWriMo project for this year. XD (Not necessarily all in one story.)

PS: What happens if I get something I seriously cannot bring myself to write, like torture or suicide?

You can sign up here for a card now, if you want. :D We were kind of bad at being clear when folks could ask for a card, so this month is a free-for-all. Just let me know what kind you'd like. It's only starting next month that we won't be giving cards after the 7th.

If you get a prompt you can't write...don't write it! Simple as that. Part of the fun of bingo challenges, I've always found, is finding the line or pattern that I CAN do, among all the things that I can't/don't want to do. There are lots of prompts, and lots of patterns! Just ignore anything that you can't write, and write what you can. You can always ask for a new card after doing a bingo, or during the first week of a new month.

Yeah, but I can't finish a blackout if I get something I can't write. ;) But maybe I can creatively interpret the theme or something. Or hope I get lucky. >.>
