BINGO: row

These fills are for my 10-6-13 card. I've been using fests as a way of generating extra prompts for my Poetry Fishbowl and other crowdfunding projects, so the sponsored ones and some free perks have been posted while other stuff is still available for sponsorship. Want to see something that isn't posted yet? Many of my fills belong to series, so their prices will be listed under the relevant series on my Serial Poetry page. For stand-alone pieces you can ask in a comment.

Row 1 Prompts (five poems): desperate, grace, a kiss goodnight, war, family.

Title: "One Wide Tree"
Series: Stand-alone
Prompt: Desperate
Rating: PG
Warnings: Obliquely described violence.
Notes: A saber-toothed cat hunts ancient humans and they hunt it back. There are several hominid species living together in harmony. This was somewhat inspired by a recent archaeological find.

The following poem belongs to my series Schrodinger's Heroes. This is science fiction about quantum physics and saving the world from hostile dimensions. It features a large cast of characters diverse in ethnicity, sexual orientation, and other features.

Title: "Good Graces"
Series: Schrodinger's Heroes
Prompt: Grace
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Notes: The team celebrates their first Thanksgiving together with multicultural prayers.

The following poems belong to my series One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis. Shaeth abdicates his position as God of Evil and becomes the God of Drunks. This series is fantasy dealing with themes of morality, personal growth, addiction and recovery, family of choice, and slightly warped humor.

Title: "Daddy's Little Girl"
Series: One God's Story of Mid-Life Crisis
Prompt: A kiss goodnight
Rating: PG
Warnings: None.
Notes: Shaeth babysits his daughter Desdemona, whose dark magic has manifested quite early.

The following poem belongs to my series Diminished Expectations. This is dystopic science fiction dealing with the aftermath of chemical warfare, disability, freedom and oppression, artificial intelligence, and families of choice. A majority of the writing runs very dark.

Title: "Written in Stone"
Series: Diminished Expectations
Prompt: War
Rating: PG
Warnings: Oblique references to war, chemical weapons, and the aftermath.
Notes: A war memorial turns out to be more symbolic than really intended.

The following poem belongs to my series Fledgling Grace. This is spiritual fantasy about what happens when humans start sprouting the wings and tails of (mostly) birds. It has themes of transformation, faith, good and evil, identity, family of choice, and avian symbolism. There's a half-price sale in this series from November 18-24.

Title: "Birds of a Feather"
Series: Fledgling Grace
Prompt: Family
Rating: PG
Warnings: Discrimination, and implications of molestation/incest.
Notes: Fledermäuse are not very welcome at a family gathering.
